Welcome to my world

Hi, I'm Prof. Yogesh Pratap Singh
Professor of Law and Author

Yogesh Pratap Singh is an Indian academic and constitutional law scholar. He specializes in constitutional law, comparative constitutional law, human rights law and public health law. His research includes studies of constitutional review in India, judicial behaviour, and the review of working of vital institutions for protecting constitutional democracy in India. In 2016, he published a book “Judicial Dissent: Enriching Constitutional Discourse” exploring the contribution of dissenting opinions of Indian Supreme Court Judges to the development of jurisprudence in India. Hon’ble Justice Dr. D.Y. Chandrachud, currently the Chief Justice of India authored a scholastic foreword for the book. Yogesh is a strong proponent of the idea that judicial review which is the most effective inter-organ control check on political power should be exercised with a great caution and accountability.
